Olly Olly All Come Free - Come One, Come All!
Enjoy a free family movie under the autumn stars this Halloween.
The Sunset Height Civic Club (SHCC), in cooperation with East Sunset Heights Association (ESHA), brings the excitement of outdoor big-screen movies to the courtyard of Sojourn Church in the Sunset Heights on E 25th St! Enjoy a free family-friendly movie experience with food, fun, and entertainment prior to showtime. This inaugural event establishes an annual tradition of celebrating the best part of our community, the people. Families, friends, and local businesses in the Sunset Heights communities will gather for an evening to remember!
SUNSET CINEMA NIGHT
presented by the
Sunset Heights Civic Club & East Sunset Heights Association
Saturday, Oct. 30th, 2021
from 5:30 -9:30 p.m.
(Yes, you might have noticed a time discrepancy.
The posters say 6:30-9:30 BUT we decided to extend the hours! See you at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.)
Bring your ghouls and goblins and join us for some Saturday Night Family Fun! There are a number of ways to join in on the event and we hope you do because it wouldn’t be the same without you. Admission is free AND donations are greatly appreciated! We welcome all types of support, in-kind and otherwise. We’d also love to have a few more volunteers. We could use a little help with set-up and clean-up on the day of the event. Email us to volunteer here.
The courtyard at Sojourn will open at 5:30 p.m. with family activities - face painting and food/beverage vendors. Feel free to bring personal lawn games to enjoy while waiting in the courtyard for the movie to start. The much-anticipated announcement of THE WINNERS OF THE HAUNTED HOUSE DECORATING CONTEST will be made prior to the start of the movie. Because this event has a Halloween theme, everyone’s encouraged (parents and kids alike) to come in costume for a spook-tacular evening under the autumn stars.
Speaking of a Halloween movie… The winner is in!
